I love the salt and pepper, because it leaves light highlights of gray throughout, which looks much more realistic than a full paint job. I tend to keep the application away from the front part of my temples, to leave some full gray intact. The rest blends in nicely. It usually lasts for at least two or three weeks, before I do a touchup. If I wait 4 weeks, it needs a full redo. Been using it for at least a couple of years and have been extremely happy.

The one negative aspect is all the packaging - yes, it's all recyclable, but it's a lot and come'on - it's hair dye, do we really need a play-by-play? Put everything in one small box, with a short-page of instructions.

After the first use, I was immediately hooked. The results were even better and with half the time, only 7 min. I like how they tailor make the package for your specific beard type and the price is just right. I have very sensitive skin, but there is absolutely no irritation whatsoever. I love just about everything with this product. It’s safe on my sensitive skin, the dye lasts a while, the shampoo smells great and my beard and skin LOVE it. The box is so well organized and you can get a lot of uses out of it depending on hair length. My only 2 complaints are that the dye is a somewhat chunky texture so it can be difficult to wash down the drain and its sticks to the sink QUICK so you gotta wash your sink as you rinse. The other thing is that the shampoo should be buyable in a bottle instead of just little packets because I would be buying those bottles

WAY better then store bought!

I am 57 and 90%+ gray with a full beard and this custom beard color kit works fantastic. It covers very well leaving a few grays which is good. The color is almost spot on which is a change from the store bought dyes. I was skeptical at first but for the price I thought way not give it a try, I'm glad I did. I have somewhat sensitive skin and had no problems with itching or burning after applying the dye and letting it sit for 7 to 10 minutes. I use the light brown and it comes out light brown, maybe a tad darker but it looks good, the longer you let the dye sit the darker it gets.

Great product but wish I could see a wider range of shades

I've been using Cleverman's beard kit and full coverage immediate kit (hair) for a couple of years now and love the product for its non-toxic smell, ease of use, and lasting quality. My natural hair and bear color was a light brown or "dirty blond" so I started with a color that I thought would be a good match, but over time I've gradually gone lighter to "warm light blond" because my hair and beard tended to be darker than what was my natural color. I recommend starting with a lighter color than you think you need and then work your way darker if you need to.
I like that Cleverman allows you to have a subscription with shipments at intervals that you can control (to a point), and you can pause or delay a shipment if you find you haven't used as much product as you expected. You can also cancel a subscription and restart it later.
Customer service was very responsive when I thought I made an ordering mistake.
I would have given 5 stars but what I found frustrating is that when you try to change color, it shows you only one option darker and one option lighter, so I thought those were my only choices. So, for the first year I didn't realize I could go lighter until I tried again, and again was presented with one option darker and one option lighter. If you want to change color by two or more shades, you have to choose one of the options presented, save your choice, then go back into your subscription where you are again presented with one option darker and one option lighter, so you choose the next level you want, etc. I wish it would show you more color options so this would be a single step.

The staff was super helpful, going back and forth with me to find the right color (tricky, since I have some reddish tones in my dark blond/light brown hair and my beard doesn't match my head hair exactly), but we got there, and it's great! It goes on easily and covers well and lasts for a good two weeks before I need to reapply from grays growing in. It's also covered well but not in a way that people notice it or ask if I'm dyeing it - they think it's natural, since I opted for the salt and pepper, leaving a few grays to make sure it doesn't look fake. Well done!
Downside really only is that they send the entire full kit every shipment, and I now have like 10 combs, 10 pairs of gloves, 10 extra shampoos, 10 mixing trays that I don't need and will never use, so I wish there was a renewal kit that just had the developer and dye or you could choose what to include. None of my other subscription companies send the full metal container for my green vitamin drink or the electric mixer for my mushroom powder with their refills every month haha, so hopefully they can figure out a way to reduce waste for renewals because I do love the product and results!

As far as the color, it by far looks the most natural of any product I've tried. Also, the scrub used to wash your beard after dying is great. I actually wish they sold it separately.
My only issue was/is the missing container. It's a bit awkward and unwieldy.
