This product works just like the others, but better in every way. The color is more natural, it lasts longer, and it's super easy to apply. The first kit was a little darker that I was used to, so I switched to the lighter shade and perfect. And it's a great value as well that comes direct to your door. Couldn't be happier!

This stuff is so much gentler on my skin than anything else. That is my favorite part, not having to pop Benedryl for 3 days after coloring beard. Seven minute application time is outstanding, and price is reasonable.

No joke. Skeptical no more. I went with the lightest color possible at first and left it on for a bit longer. Perfect from light gray to blond. Loved how the product was a cream that stayed where I put it. (Unlike the other color competitors out there).
I was stunned by the results. Nobody could tell. Looked like I'd been surfing and out in the salt water all summer. I can't believe that I waited so long to give Cleverman a try. I'll be experimenting with some cross coloring by adding a bit of a darker shade to the lighter shade after summer. You have another satisfied and loyal customer

The WordsThat Come Back
What customers name most often, review after review. Select any one to read only those.
Does Cleverman cover the gray?
825 of 2,509 reviewers name gray coverage as the reason they rated the kit. Coverage is a choice at the quiz: Full Coverage takes all of it, Salt & Pepper leaves some of it, and the formula is mixed to the gray level you report.
How does it feel on the skin?
1,447 reviewers name how the kit leaves their hair or how natural the colour looks. Cleverman is free from ammonia, parabens, sulfates, silicones, phthalates and resorcinol, and the developer carries SkinArmor Technology. Do the patch test before the first application, and if you have reacted to a color product before, talk to a doctor first.
* Study participant, not a verified buyer. These before-and-after photos come from a Cleverman formula test run in Barcelona in 2019, before the product launched. The men are real, took part in the test, and were photographed before and after use: same light, same frame, same crop, and the treated area is not retouched. Participants were compensated for taking part and signed a release. They are test participants, not verified buyers, and individual results vary. The 4.7 rating and every review count on this page come from verified orders only — not from the test.
† Incentivized reviews. Some of the reviews counted here were written by customers who received a free product for writing one. The reward was given whatever the rating, it was never conditioned on a positive review, and every review that earned one is labeled “Incentivized” on the review itself.
