I was hoping for a cleaner product, without the harsh chemicals, but this is not the product. Although Cleverman has eliminated some harsh ingredients, p-PHENYLENEDIAMINE, also known as PPD, is notorious for causing Skin Allegic reactions. Until PPD is removed, this product is no better than JFM.

The packaging was awesome easy to use but just like the rest they say this and that same reaction instantly burning itching and swelling of the skin where applied I wish it would have worked but sad to say stuck with a swollen scab face from this product .. packaging is awesome...
My natural beard is a dark blonde with plenty of red in it. I was going grey/white right in the goatee portion of the beard. I followed the quiz, and chose "Warm Dark Blond". I followed to directions perfectly, and ended up with a beard that is cold dead brown. There is no way this can be called a shade of blond. It is, technically, an improvement. It is not, in any way, the color I was promised. Ironically, the only place I don't have complete coverage is right at the bottom of my chin; the whitest bit of hair is still white. No skin reactions, so that's great. This may be a fantastic product for people with dark hair; for me, it's a huge disappointment.

After a few days the key black color goes away and looks like an brown orange rust color.

This “warm fading” means your current formula isn’t strong enough to fully neutralize warm undertones as the dye washes out. To correct this, we’ll increase the pigment concentration and adjust the developer so the black stays deeper and lasts longer.

I have been using product for a year and was pleased with the soft black color. When I received my last order they only offer soft black in a small tube and give you another tube of developer instead of squirt bottle. I prefer the squirt bottle but they don't offer that in soft black. I feel like it's more trouble trying to mix in a cup and then apply. So for that reason I have canceled my subscription.

Great costly product, horrible customer service and quality control
The product works well.
The issue is directions continue to have issues. They are either missing or have upside wording. Once is acceptable the company acknowledges the issue when sending out the first kit with a discount coupon the customer would need to apply to their next order, the second time they say the issue has been addressed, it hasn't.
It's quality control, and customer service is Bad! I wrote to customer service about the printing issues for the second time, not sending barrier cream, and now, in the last order, no brush. Customer service acknowledged the printing issues as being resolved (they haven't). Barrier cream was removed due to a non-drip formula (customers weren't notified), and the brush was missing from the kit.
Customer service needs to read the emails and address issues. Cleverman has lost a customer because of customer service's inability to treat their customers with respect and take care of their issues.
I ran a software company for 25 years and not one single complaint. Look elsewhere for a better company.

Good product, Navigating the web site can be challenging and

I purchased the beard dye kit for light to medium warm blonde after following the instructions my beard turned out very dark brown almost black. Sent an email to them and never got a response.

My first time using this product and my face has been swollen for 3 straight days and counting. Very disappointing considering I filled out the questionnaire to have the product tailored for my sensitive skin.
I've never had a problem with your products. I have discovered now the service is terrible when something does go wrong. I paid for express shipping over two weeks ago. The package has never arrived the delivery date keeps changing to "Tomorrow by 7pm." Instead of actually making it right, customer service just repeats excuses.
My beard is a mess now. This will be my last order with you. I am cancelling my membership!

I love that I can get this in Dark Auburn because that is the color of my natural beard. I love how easy and fast it is to use. However, this burns the hell out of my face and I can almost guarantee like clockwork that 24 hours after using the product (according to directions and suggested leave in time) that I will get little sores and itchiness under my beard. Sigh.
The best beard dye I have ever used. For some reason it takes almost two weeks to get to New Mexico. I literally get grooming products form Europe in less time.
