What Products does Cleverman sell?
Cleverman produces the most customized hair color for men; we sell kits for hair and beard, and offer the ability to eliminate grays, target them, achieve a salt & pepper look, and beyond. Our model is different than a traditional store in that we customize the product to you, rather than simply offering a standard assortment to all. That said, most configurations come in the following classifications - Full Coverage, Salt & Pepper, First Grays, and Beard. How do I pick the right product?
That's where we come in. Hair Color has a scary reputation, and rightfully so; you don't want to mess it up and deal with an unplanned buzzcut. To simplify the process and overcome this fear, Cleverman asks questions about you to learn more about what you're looking for, so we can customize via our colorist-designed algorithm. Our diagnostic is interactive and provides critical intelligence to design your kit from the top to the bottom. Then, we simulate your end-look to ensure we calculated accurately, and provide a summary of your kit configuration which you can edit if you wish.
How do I pick the right shade?
At the most basic level, men are looking for natural-looking results, which means you want a color that looks masculine, multidimensional, and most of all, mirrors your natural color. Our diagnostic starts by asking you to select which shade best matches your natural color, then showcases this color on a real model with a 360-degree simulation to ensure you like what you see. But we then go further by adjusting your formulation to account for your level of gray, the texture and condition of your hair, and other variables that impact the end result. Last but certainly not least, we email you a post-purchase diagnostic after you try for the first time, which allows us to make minor adjustments and dial-in the fit. Is Cleverman good for you?
Lets put our chips on the table; hair color is never going to be good for you. But by formulating our products with good for you ingredients like our organic triple-oil system, and excluding unwanted ingredients like ammonia, resorcinol, sulfates, parabens and more, we're doing our best to deliver fantastic, natural-looking color without compromise. Plus, each kit comes with a customized post-usage treatment; a cleansing conditioner / shampoo for your hair, and a face / beard scrub for your beard.
I'm nervous about using hair color because I've seen bad results elsewhere; how can Cleverman help?

Where is Cleverman made?
Cleverman is assembled in the United States and is sourced from around the world. All of our formula comes from Milan Italy; this includes the colorant, developer, shampoo / conditioner, beard scrub, and barrier cream. Our face wipe is from California, our brushes, trays and gloves are from China, and our packaging is from the USA and Canada.
What's in a Hair Kit?
We firmly believe there's no such thing as a one-size fits all solution, so the contents of the kit varies based on the look you're going for. In general, each hair kit includes customized instructions, a colorant and a developer (which are mixed to activate), brush, gloves, and post-usage shampoo / conditioner. Not only is each of those customized to you, but the configuration, size, amount, and specifications vary based on your desired look and technique.
How light can I color my hair?
Depends on your current hair color and the amount of grays you have. In order to ensure the most natural-looking result possible, Cleverman color is formulated to oxidize on gray hair - the more gray you have, the more we're able to lighten while keeping a uniform look. Our algorithm automatically calculates your suitable range to change your color, so you only get options that will look good on you.
How dark can I color my hair?
Depends on your current hair color and the amount of grays you have. In order to ensure the most natural-looking result possible, Cleverman color is formulated to oxidize on gray hair - the more gray you have, the more we're able to darken while keeping a uniform look. Our algorithm automatically calculates your suitable range to change your color, so you only get options that will look good on you. But we will warn you - going darker than your natural hair color isn't recommended; doing so often looks fake and will make it obvious you're coloring your hair.
What is the difference between the customized kits and the best seller kits?
